THE LONG SHADOW
The Long Shadow is a project that speaks to Jersey City’s long and storied history as an industrial center within the American Landscape.
Through the use of backlit “animated” lenticular panels, I create short vignettes that unfold as the viewer passes in front of the installation.
The first piece of this series, Erie Cut, was unveiled as part of the 14C Special Projects open studio in Jersey City on April 12 2025. This installation along with Newsboy Alley (see below) will be featured as part of Art Fair 14C running April 8th through the 11th.
Erie Cut, 2025, 36” x 76” Photography, (2 frames from) Digital Animation, Backlit Lenticular Print
Newsboy Alley is the 2nd installation in the ongoing Long Shadow series. As with Erie Cut, the 7’ tall lenticular print is framed by sculptural elements that reflect the time and place being depicted. It was unveiled on April 8th as part of Art Fair 14C.
